BLNT News is an independent media publication covering Art, Cannabis, Lifestyle and Wellness through journalism, photography, interviews, original media and cultural documentation.

BLNT stands for Black. Liberated. Naked. Truth.

Those words define how we approach the stories we tell.

Black recognizes the culture, creativity, innovation and communities that inform our perspective.

Liberated means we are not interested in being confined by traditional expectations of what independent media should cover, how stories should be told or whose stories deserve attention.

Naked means stripped of unnecessary packaging. We are interested in people, experiences and ideas as they actually exist.

Truth is the responsibility to document what we see, ask questions, provide context and allow people to tell their stories in their own voices.

That means sometimes the story is an in-depth interview. Sometimes it is a photograph from a room people will talk about later. Sometimes it is an independent artist releasing something worth hearing, a business doing meaningful work, a wellness professional introducing a different approach or a cultural moment happening in real time.

Not every important story begins with a press release.

And not everyone doing noteworthy work already has a national platform.
