BLNT CONTRIBUTOR TERMS

Empress Empire LLC presents BLNT News & Media

1. SCOPE

These Contributor Terms govern editorial submissions and assignments made to BLNT News & Media unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise. TEAM BLNT members may also be subject to the TEAM BLNT Participation & Contributor Terms.

2. NO GUARANTEE

Submission, pitching, onboarding, or prior publication does not guarantee future assignments, acceptance, publication, credentials, access, employment, or compensation.

3. ORIGINALITY AND AUTHORITY

A contributor represents that submitted work is original except for properly attributed material, that the contributor has authority to submit it, and that the work does not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

4. ACCURACY AND DISCLOSURES

Contributors are responsible for good-faith fact-checking and must disclose relevant conflicts, sponsorships, gifts, employment, management relationships, promotional relationships, or other interests connected to an assignment.

5. EDITING

BLNT may edit submissions for accuracy, clarity, length, style, formatting, headlines, captions, SEO, accessibility, legal risk, and publication standards. Material changes affecting substantive meaning should be handled responsibly.

6. RIGHTS

Unless a separate written agreement transfers ownership, the contributor retains copyright in original work they own. By submitting accepted work for publication, the contributor grants Empress Empire LLC and BLNT News & Media a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, archive, excerpt, promote, and create format adaptations of the accepted work in connection with BLNT publications, websites, social channels, newsletters, print editions, video, audio, promotional materials, and archives. This does not authorize BLNT to sell the contributor's underlying copyright to an unrelated third party as though BLNT owned it unless separately agreed in writing.

7. THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL

A contributor must identify material they do not own and provide permissions, licenses, credits, or source information when required. BLNT may decline or remove material if rights cannot be reasonably verified.

8. COMPENSATION

Compensation, if any, must be established in writing for the applicable assignment or role. Most current founding-stage contributor opportunities may be unpaid. Publication, byline, access, or exposure is not a promise of future paid work.

9. DEADLINES AND COMMUNICATION

Contributors should meet accepted deadlines, communicate promptly when circumstances change, and respond to reasonable editorial revision or verification requests.

10. CREDENTIALS AND ACCESS

BLNT credentials, invitations, press access, and confidential information may be used only for authorized BLNT purposes and may not be sold, transferred, loaned, or represented as personal endorsement or unrestricted access.

11. CONFIDENTIALITY AND EMBARGOES

Contributors must honor lawful embargoes, confidential source arrangements, unreleased materials, private assignment information, and other confidentiality obligations accepted in connection with BLNT work.

12. REMOVAL / TERMINATION

BLNT may reject, remove, correct, archive, or decline to continue working with a contributor for editorial, operational, legal, safety, rights, reliability, or policy reasons. Existing rights already granted for previously published work survive to the extent reasonably necessary to maintain BLNT's archives and records.

13. INDEPENDENT STATUS

Unless a separate written employment agreement expressly states otherwise, contributor participation does not by itself create employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, or authority to bind Empress Empire LLC.
